Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.

Before we dive in, I want to give you a sense of the method to my madness – why I teach workplace investigations the way I do and what shaped this human-centered approach.

I’ve worn just about every hat possible in this field – attorney, HR executive, regulator, corporate leader, expert witness, and educator. Across more than 1,200 investigations, one truth has guided me: fairness isn’t just about compliance, it’s about trust.

I built this course around that belief. The 3 Rs model you’ll learn – Receiving, Reviewing, and Resolving – blends the precision of law with the empathy of leadership. It’s structured, but it’s also deeply human. My goal is to help you move beyond checklists and policies toward thoughtful, credible, and consistent decision-making.

You’ll hear me reference both real-world lessons and a few cultural insights from my life as a Salvadoran immigrant in the US and now my life in Rome, Italy. Living abroad has given me fresh perspective on communication, conflict, and courage…and how workplace cultures everywhere struggle (and thrive) in surprisingly similar ways.

Throughout this course, you’ll find practical tools, reflection prompts, and scenario-based “Investigation Labs” that connect theory to reality. You’ll also see my strong belief that learning should feel like conversation, not compliance training.
